I received this book as a Goodreads giveaway winner. Cadence is a woman who suffers multiple personality disorder and works in a department in the FBI that hires only people with mental disorders. It's a strange premise, but this is MaryJanice Davidson so I figured I was in for a fast and light-hearted ride. I actually didn't have too much trouble with the jumping between Cadence and her "sisters," Shiro and Adrienne, once I figured out who was who. The book started out okay and had a constant string of quirky characters. However, a lot of things that could have had more potential just fell flat - the romance with the baker, the reasoning behind why they were killers, and being able to turn what is really a ridiculous premise into something funnier. It started with a lot of potential, and I read through it quickly. It's definitely original and I would love to see how she further develops the story in the next two books of this trilogy.
